LETTER OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT REGARDING THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

This is to inform you about the data processing procedure within our disclosure requirement specified in Clause 10 of the Privacy Act No. 6698, which is related with the collection, transferring or processing of data obtained as the Company’s data supervisor in connection with the utilization of the www.protel.com.tr website belonging to Protel Bilgisayar Inc. Co. (“the Company”).

We pay utmost attention to the processing and protection of your personal data in accordance with the legal legislation and we aim to ensure transparency in data processing procedure by constantly informing you about why, how and for what purpose your personal data are processed, with whom and for what such data are shared.

  1. What is personal data, who processes it?

According to Clause 3 of the Privacy Act, personal data means any data about the real person with a specific or specifiable identity. According to the Act, the Company may save, store, update and process your personal data, acting as “data supervisor” and may disclose and transfer such data to third parties.

Your personal data can be collected through automatic or non-automatic methods on physical or electronic environment in way of the collection of the data you have willingly shared on the net in oral, written or electronic way, including, without limitation, the contracts executed for good or service purchases.

Your collected personal data can be processed within the scope of Clauses 5 and 6 of the Privacy Act, specifying the terms and purposes for the processing of personal data; including the performance of Company activities, creation and planning of the Company’s human resources policies, serving our users better on our website, improving our services, using them in marketing activities if you have consent, product/service offer, any informing activity, advertisement-promotion, sales, marketing, facilitating the use of the website, development works to be carried out by our Company or our affiliates based on the interest areas and preferences of the users, performance of necessary activities by our business units, ensuring the legal and commercial security of our Company and the persons who have established business relationship with our Company and our Group Companies, enabling our business units to carry out necessary works in order to have you benefit from the goods, services or commercial activities offered by the Company; and identifying and implementing the commercial and business strategies of our Company.

According to Clause 11 of the Privacy Act No. 6698, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is being processed, if yes, to ask for information about it, to learn the purpose of the processing of your personal data and whether it is being used within the scope of its intended use, to know the third parties your personal data is transferred in the country or abroad, to ask for the correction of any missing or incorrect personal data, to ask for the third parties receiving your personal data to be notified about such correction, to ask for the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of Clause 7 of the Privacy Act, without prejudice to the legal restrictions, to oppose to any unfavorable result that may arise out of the analysis of your processed data through automated systems exclusively and to ask for the compensation of your loss that may arise due to illegal processing of your personal data.

  1. How Can You Benefit from Your Rights?

You can benefit from your above-stated rights by applying to Esentepe Mahallesi Haberler Sokak No: 12-14 34394 Şişli, İstanbul address through one of the following ways;

  • Personal application,
  • Through the notary,
  • By sending the Company’s registered electronic mail address an e-mail that is signed by the Applicant with “secure electronic signature” as specified in the Electronic Signature Law No. 5070.
  • By sending a registered mail (together with the copy of only the front face of the identity card)

In order for a person other than the owner of the personal data to file a request, he/shall provide a relevant special letter of proxy prepared by the owner of the personal data.

In case that the completion of the requests requires an additional cost, the applicant will be charged at the rate specified by the Board. Our company may request additional information from the person concerned in order to determine if the applicant is the owner of the personal data and may ask questions to the owner of the personal data about his application in order for the clarification of the issues mentioned in such application. Your request will be completed as soon as possible and in any case within thirty days at the latest.
