Simpra Resort Manager Companion ("the extension") is a browser tool for hotel staff that compares the reservation you open in Oracle OPERA Cloud against its counterpart in Simpra Resort Manager (RM) and shows sync status and mismatches.
This policy explains what data the extension handles, where it is stored, and where it is sent.
Data the extension handles
Resort Manager API key : You generate this inside Resort Manager and paste it into the extension's settings. It is stored only on your own device and is used solely to obtain an access token from the Resort Manager service. No password is stored. It is never sent to any third party, to Oracle, or to the extension's author.
Access token : Issued by the Resort Manager service after your API key is verified. It is kept only in temporary session storage (cleared automatically when the browser closes) and is sent only back to the Resort Manager service to authorize your requests. It is never sent to Oracle or any other party.
Reservation confirmation number : Read from the OPERA Cloud page you are viewing to identify which reservation to look up. It is sent to the Resort Manager service to fetch the matching record, and is not stored or logged.
Reservation data (overview / comparison) : Retrieved on demand from the Resort Manager service when you view a reservation, shown in the panel, then discarded. It is not stored, logged, or shared.
Interface preferences : Your language selection and panel position, stored only on your own device.
Where data is sent
The extension communicates with a single destination : The Simpra Resort Manager service operated by Protel / Simpra. All reservation lookups, comparisons, and the sync actions you trigger go there and nowhere else.
The extension makes no network requests to Oracle. It runs its comparison panel on Oracle OPERA Cloud pages only to display information and to read the open reservation's confirmation number from the page you are already viewing.
What the extension does NOT do
- No analytics, tracking, or telemetry.
- No selling, sharing, or transfer of any data to third parties.
- No remote code, all logic ships inside the extension package.
- No advertising.
- No reading of Oracle credentials or cookies.
- No data is ever sent to the extension's author.
- Any credential fields from earlier versions are actively removed from local storage when the settings open.
Storage & retention
Your API key and interface preferences remain on your device until you remove them or uninstall the extension.The access token is held only for the current browser session and is cleared automatically when the browser closes.
Permissions
- Local storage is used to save your settings such as your API key, language, and panel position on your device.
- Access to the Resort Manager service is used to verify your API key, retrieve reservation data, and run the sync actions you trigger.
- Access to Oracle OPERA Cloud pages is used only to display the comparison panel and detect the reservation you have open. No network requests are made to Oracle.
Data security
All communication takes place over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
