SmartHOTEL Switch Service officially certified by MICROS-Fidelio
Reeuwijk, The Netherlands – March 2009 -- MICROS Systems, Inc., a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, has official certified the SmartHOTEL 2-way switch technology for the connection between, Hotel.de, HRS.de, RatesToGo.com, Venere.com and locally oriented Internet Distribution Systems with myfidelio.net, MICROS’s distribution service powered by the OPERA Reservation System.
Among the first hotels to successfully implement the myfidelio-SmartHOTEL technology are the Steigenberger Kurhaus Hotel, Hotel Mitland, and ATLANTIC Hotel an der Galopprennbahn. They manage all rates, inventory, and availability from myfidelio.net or from their MICROS Property Management System (PMS), using a combination of the OPERA Reservation System and the SmartHOTEL switch technology. Reservations are made available directly into the hotel’s reservation system.
Manually maintaining numerous Internet Distribution Systems is a very time consuming and tedious task. The myfidelio-SmartHOTEL switch service offers hotels a dramatic increase in efficiency and revenues by expanding their target markets without any extra effort. New connections to Internet Distribution Systems all over the world will be made available on a regular basis.
The myfidelio-SmartHOTEL switch service will initially be available in Germany, France, and the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) through the local Fidelio offices. Shortly after the introduction in these countries the rest of the world will be able to use myfidelio-SmartHOTEL.
myfidelio.net is the “Software as a Service” model of the OPERA Reservation System, an enterprise solution for the hospitality industry, providing central reservation management services and connections to worldwide distribution channels, the GDS and the hotel corporate website. myfidelio.net offers full integration with all hotel solutions offered by MICROS, including OPERA PMS, Fidelio Suite 8 in Europe, Fidelio Version 6, and Fidelio Version 7.
