Commercials about Turkey will be placed in Yahoo search engine's sites in the U.S., Germany, Britain, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Israel.
Turkish Culture & Tourism Ministry said that the advertisements would take place in Yahoo's sites within the framework of an agreement concluded between ministry's New York office and Yahoo company.
Also world's well-known online travel company "Expedia" prepared a four-page Turkey site. Expedia has 55 million users in the world.
Expedia will introduce Turkey's history, culture, main cities as well as Aegean and southern coasts.
The Ministry said that the number of tourists visiting Turkey increased 18.67 percent and reached 1.3 million in March, 2008, over the same month of 2007
